What does First Coast Companions do?+
First Coast Companions provides non-medical companion and concierge services for seniors throughout Jacksonville and the First Coast. We help with companionship, errands, grocery runs, prescription pickup, medication reminders, appointment transportation, wellness walks, light stretching, light tidying, organizing, and family updates. Our goal is to help seniors stay independent while keeping families connected and informed.
Are you a medical home care company?+
No. First Coast Companions provides non-medical companion and concierge services. We do not provide medical care, medication administration, bathing, toileting, hands-on personal care, or emergency medical support. We focus on companionship, everyday support, errands, organization, reminders, and peace of mind for families.
Who is this service best for?+
Our services are a great fit for seniors who are mostly independent but could use extra support, companionship, and help with day-to-day tasks. We often help seniors who: - Live alone - No longer drive as much - Need help with errands or groceries - Need reminders and check-ins - Have family members who live out of town - Want to stay independent at home - Would benefit from friendly companionship

First Coast Companions serves Jacksonville and surrounding First Coast communities, including: - Jacksonville - Jacksonville Beach - Atlantic Beach - Neptune Beach - Ponte Vedra Beach - Orange Park - Fleming Island - St. Johns - Nocatee - Mandarin - San Marco - Riverside - Avondale - St. Augustine Service availability may vary based on distance and scheduling.
How long does each visit last?+
Visits typically last 2–3 hours. If a visit, errand, or appointment lasts longer than 3 hours, additional time is billed at $30/hour after the first 3 hours.
What is included in the First Coast Essentials plan?+
The First Coast Essentials plan is $300/month and includes: - 2 visits per month - Visits typically lasting 2–3 hours - Companion visits - Wellness check-ins - Medication reminders - Errand running - Grocery runs - Prescription pickup - Wellness walks - Light stretching - Light tidying and organizing - Family update after each visit Appointment transportation is not included in this plan, but it can be added for $75 per appointment.
What is included in the First Coast Plus plan?+
The First Coast Plus plan is $500/month and includes: - 4 visits per month - Visits typically lasting 2–3 hours - Everything included in First Coast Essentials - Transportation to and from doctor appointments - Family update after each visit or appointment Doctor appointment transportation counts as one of the 4 included monthly visits. The plan does not include 4 regular visits plus 4 separate appointment trips.
Does the Plus plan include 4 visits and 4 doctor appointments?+
No. The Plus plan includes 4 total visits per month. Those visits can be used for companionship, errands, grocery runs, organizing, wellness walks, or doctor appointment transportation. For example: - 3 companion/errand visits + 1 doctor appointment visit = 4 total visits - 2 companion/errand visits + 2 doctor appointment visits = 4 total visits - 4 doctor appointment visits = 4 total visits Additional visits or appointments are $75 each.
Do you provide transportation to doctor appointments?+
Yes. Doctor appointment transportation is included in the First Coast Plus plan and is available as an add-on for First Coast Essentials members. Appointment transportation is $75 per appointment when added separately or when additional visits are needed beyond the monthly plan.
Do you stay during doctor appointments?+
Yes, when appropriate and requested. We can accompany clients to appointments, help them get checked in, provide companionship while they wait, and share a family update afterward. We do not provide medical advice or make medical decisions.
Can you pick up prescriptions?+
Yes. Prescription pickup is included as part of our errand and personal assistance services. Clients are responsible for the cost of prescriptions, groceries, supplies, parking, tolls, and any other third-party expenses.
Can you remind my loved one to take medication?+
Yes. We can provide medication reminders. However, we do not administer medication, organize medication, adjust dosages, or provide medical advice. Medication should be taken as directed by the client’s doctor, care provider, or family.
Do you provide cleaning services?+
We provide light tidying and organizing, not professional house cleaning. Examples may include: - Mail sorting - Paperwork organization - Decluttering - Light kitchen tidying - Organizing common areas - Helping keep everyday spaces manageable
Do you help with groceries and errands?+
Yes. We can help with grocery runs, prescription pickup, post office visits, returns, and other everyday errands. Clients are responsible for the cost of all purchases.
Will family members receive updates?+
Yes. Family communication is one of the most important parts of our service. After each visit or appointment, we provide an update so family members know how their loved one is doing, what was completed, and whether anything needs attention.
Do you offer one-time visits?+
Our main services are built around monthly membership plans so we can provide consistent, reliable support. One-time visits may be available depending on scheduling and location. Additional visits outside a membership plan are $75 per visit.
Do you offer annual payment discounts?+
Yes. Families who choose to pay annually instead of monthly receive a 20% discount. Annual pricing: - First Coast Essentials: $2,880/year - First Coast Plus: $4,800/year
Do you offer referral discounts?+
Yes. When you refer a new family who signs up for a membership plan, you receive 50% off one month as our thank-you. The referral discount applies after the referred family completes their first paid month of service.
